As a daycare teacher, my days are filled with laughter, learning, and countless precious moments shared with children in my care.
I have been doing 'Gardening Project' with my chidlren every year. We have a small garden in our yard, where we planted the seeds of curiosuty and watched them sprout alongside the seeds of tomatoes, peas, cucumbers, and zucchinis.
This year, our garden didn't yield as many fruits and vetabales as we had hoped for. But that didn't damped our spirits. Instead, it offered us a valuable lesson in patience and resilience.
One day, one of my children found the two tiny tomatoes are growing. She stared at the tomatoes and asked me, "Look. here is a baby tomato. Then were is a mommy tomato? We need to find mommy tomato or this baby tomato is gonna be sad."
Her question tugged at my heart and initiated a meaningful discussion about the growth cycle of plants. We explored how, just like humans, plants also start small and grow into bigger versions of themselves.
This is why I love to work as a daycare teacher.
